FWIW, I have an iPad, and have just tested an app. called Families, that
syncs with Legacy on my PC. It uses something similar to Dropbox, but its
part of their app. Unfortunately it doesn't handle relationships etc, so its
not really ideal for info entry, which can be done. But for a small,
I use an ASUS T91MT convertible Net book/Tablet with Win 7. I have had
mine for about 6 months and use it everyday and could not be happier.
It is a Swiss Army Knife computer. The touchscreen rotates and folds
down like a book or you can use it like any other netbook.
Right now I have Legacy and
Sounds like an awesome little computer!
For the edification of the Legacy users who work with both a PC and
laptop, how do you synch the two databases?
I have my ideas on how it should be done (IntelliShare comes to mind)
but was wondering how some of you handle this??
Sincerely,
Sherry
I use dropbox to keep my desktop PC and my Netbook in sync. There is one
database file and no matter which unit I use to open/update the file, both
units are using the latest information.

Sherry,
I actually use a 16gb USB drive for my master genealogy files. Most of
the time it stays in my desktop and is synced to my hard drive and
backed up by Mozy. When i move it to the Netbook I have everything
(sneaker net). The drive letter is X on both machines so my legacy
media stays
intuitive? I
don't want to learn another genealogy program...

Hello to the group. I understand that I can use my Legacy file on a
small device like an iPhone. Screen's too small for my purpose.
Is there a way to use it on a Kindle or other electronic tablet device?
Thanks. Dolly (not quite a technodunce, but close) in Maryland USA
