I agree with CE WOOD, I believe Heritage bought Legacy yo get their users buying into their online genealogy database and abandoning Legacy, it’s much more profitable for them. Well I’m not buying into that. And speaking about backup, I never used their online backup anyway. I store all my

Yes. Legacy was bought by MyHeritage to shut it down. They would much prefer their own, inadequate FamilyTreeBuilder as their only data base program. Thus, the fact that theirs automatically updates your website on MH, whereas uploading new LegacyFamilyTree files requires re-linking all photos

Another wishlist feature adding to what others have requested is an extra backup option. I know there were legal/logistic issues when the Legacy cloud storage option was removed. However I would like to have both a "local" and a "remote" backup option. Local is local to the PC or home network.

The issues with Hints is not down to Legacy. It is limited by the speed that the websites will response to the requests that it receives and the limitations that they have put on Legacy, plus if they change their interface then Legacy has to update the system. That has been the recent issues with

Generally so am I, but it could be better. Unfortunately, to do that will require a total rebuild, given that the Legacy application is still written in VB 6. The Charts program seems to be written in Borland (now Embarcadero) Delphi and the Hints program is .NET based. Regards Chris
