Is it okay to mention on this list when books are being published using Legacy?
We have been trying to get the word out and want to be certain to reach
everyone possible. I don't know if anyone on this list might know others who
would be interested in our book series. Also what have been
Thanks for asking.
The list is for discussing using Legacy and the add-on programs, not
for selling your published products, whether or not you used Legacy to
create them nor discussing experiences with publishers.
Any discussion *not* related to Legacy or Legacy add-on programs

I want to check all my sources which were created before 2011. Can someone
please help me to choose the correct fields for my search? I plan to tag
the list created then work on them.
Thanks, Diane

Did you get any replies to this, Mary? I don't recall seeing any, and
kept your post so I could reply when I had the opportunity (having been
away a few days this week).
My main thought with reading your query was to wonder if you had seen
that you can edit a sentence definition for a one-time
Thanks Wendy.
Yours is the only response I had.
Yes, I'm aware of the sentence override option and I have used it. But I'd
still like to be able to lock in my edits.Just looking for Legacy to
indicate I have customized that event so that I don't change it quite so
easily in the future.
Mary
If you go to the View Menu, then choose Event Definitions, then highlight
that event, and choose Edit, you can see what custom editing you've used
for that event.
Is that what you're looking for?

Legacy does not log the addition of sources so there is no way for you
to determine when you added a particular source. There is no way to
determine which sources were added before 2011.
If you have a backup of your file from end Dec 2011 or early Jan 2012
you could extract your file from that
Diane,
You could do a search for person with a modified date before 2012 and that
might at least find persons in your file that would have old sources.
Just a thought, in that I dont keep backups from that far back.

Thank you for that feedback. I guess there will always be some
inconsistencies as we keep learning better ways of doing things At least
the information does have sources.

Unfortunately, no, that isn't what I need. I know how to edit and how to
see what I've done. I'd like to be able to put a temporary lock on my
editing so that I don't inadvertently change it. I'm wanting something to
alert me that I've changed it for a reason sort of a you've previously
