I'm testing with another server and same problem.
I've defined in config file:
...
set mirror:no-empty-dirs yes;
set mirror:order "/*";
set mirror:parallel-directories yes;
set mirror:parallel-transfer-count 5;
set mirror:set-permissions no;
set mirror:use-pget-n 3;

But when I execute 'jobs -v 1' only I see 3 downloads:

[1] mirror Synchronicity 2015 LIMITED COMPLETE BLURAY-BAKED/  -- 8.0G/24G
(33%) 3.25 MiB/s
 \mirror `BDMV'  -- 8.0G/24G (33%) 3.25 MiB/s

`2.m2ts' en 8648406880 (24%) 1.11M/s falta:77m [Recibiendo datos]

In server side only there are 3 established connections:
  PID %CPU %MEM   TIME COMMAND
 7321  0.1  0.0   0:01 proftpd: x: RETR 2.m2ts
 7584  0.1  0.0   0:01 proftpd: x: RETR 2.m2ts
 7586  0.1  0.0   0:01 proftpd: x: RETR 2.m2ts

I'm using lftp v4.7.1
---

Another question is about the jobs command, the help says:
$ help jobs
Uso: jobs [-v] []
List running jobs. -v means verbose, several -v can be specified.
If is specified, only list a job with that number.

If I specify more than one "-v", should I see more info about that job?
Because actually it shows always the same info.

Regards.

It's a weird problem. I don't know why it occurs. I've tested with 2 FTP

after a few minutes the download speed drops sharply.
I've tested with another FTP servers near to my server but it fails with
another error:

2016-04-23 Thread Juan Simón
With lftp v4.6.5 is fails too. The curious thing is that it works well for
a while at start. I've tested with pget and same problem.
I have defined in config file:
...
set pget:default-n 6;
set pget:min-chunk-size 4M;
set pget:save-status 2s;
...

But it shows only 2:
...

And this is the connections list with my server:
$ ss -ta | grep -i IP-server

[lftp] (no subject)

2016-04-23 Thread Juan Simón
lftp v4.7.1
Arch Linux 64 bits

I have defined in my rc config file:
...
set mirror:exclude-regex "^.+\.[pP][aA][rR][tT]$|^.+\.[uU][rR][lL]$";
set mirror:no-empty-dirs yes;
set mirror:order "/*";
set mirror:parallel-directories yes;
set mirror:parallel-transfer-count 2;
set mirror:set-permissions no;
set mirror:use-pget-n 6;

But I have download a folder with mirror and only there are 2 threads:

$ jobs -vvv

[1] mirror STAR_WARS_EPISODE_IV_THE_FORCE_AWAKENS/  -- 42G/42G (99%) 27.0

\transfer `BDMV/STREAM/00155.m2ts'
`00155.m2ts', se obtuvieron 602416339 de 635123712 (94%) 27.0K/s falta:20m

`00155.m2ts' en 303602864 (86%) 7.5K/s falta:20m [Recibiendo datos]

I've noticed this because the download speed is very slow. Generally the
download speed is ~323mbps and today is ~300kbps. I have tested with iperf
between my FTP server and the link is right.
I'll test it with lftp v4.6.5.

Re: [lftp] [Enhancement] Option to specify config file

2015-03-18 Thread Juan Simón
Ok, that option is just what I wanted. I don't think this option should
skip /etc/lftp.conf too. The option name (norc) is quite descriptive about
rc (user) file no system file.

I didn't find that option because:

   1. The 'lftp -h' doesn't show this option.

$ lftp -h
Usage: lftp [OPTS] site
`lftp' is the first command executed by lftp after rc files
 -f file execute commands from the file and exit
 -c cmdexecute the commands and exit
 --help print this help and exit
 --version print lftp version and exit
Other options are the same as in `open' command
 -e cmdexecute the command just after selecting
 -u user[,pass]  use the user/password for authentication
 -p port use the port for connection
 site host name, URL or bookmark name

2. In man file the options of lftp command are near the end, when I
   think they should be at the beginning.

 There is lftp --norc option, but it currently skips only user-specific rc
 files, and still loads system-wide /etc/lftp.conf

 Probably it should be changed to skip /etc/lftp.conf as well.

 Hi,

 I am trying to mirror files on Fuse mounted hdfs file system (
 https://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/MountableHDFS). Lftp is creating some 0
 byte files.

 Observations:
 1. Files of size larger then 64k are getting transferred properly.
 Smaller files have 0 byte file size.
 2. Debug logs shows that lftp downloaded data for the files correctly.
 It also renamed them.

 Additional tests on fuse mounted hdfs.
 - I created a file with a temp file name, written the data to it, then
 renamed the file and finally closed the output stream. In this case it
 creates a 0 byte file.
 - I created a file with a temp file name, written the data to it, closed
 the file and then renamed the file. In this case it creates the file
 correctly.

 Can someone please look into this issue, it might be possible that
 stream is closed after the file is renamed.

 Thanks,
 Akshay

And what is the difference between this and use the lftp bookmarks file?
The bookmarks file has 600 permission too.

  Hi Juan,

 I use the ~/.netrc file with which lftp is compatible.

 If you mind to set permissions on this file on 600, then no one else can
 read this file.
 And this is the way I use for automated download with lftp.

It's insufficient. lftp should save the password in encrypted mode.
Thanks.

 You can bookmark the connection. Yes, the password is stored in plain text
 in
 ~/.lftp/bookmarks but connecting with the bookmark will not let the
 password
 be seen in all the other places you list.

 See: bmk:save-passwords .

 It's probably not a good enough solution for you. I thought I'd just
 mention
 it as it seemed relevant.

lftp fails with mirror and large folders

2011-06-07 Thread Juan Simón
lftp 4.2.3
PureFTPd 1.0.32
Ubuntu Lucid 64 bits

When I try to download, with mirror, large folders (for example: Bluray disc
folder), lftp randomly hangs in middle of download.
I've tested with vsftpd, PureFTPd, with and without firewall, but lftp still
fails.

In local I only see the hanging connection with *Waiting for data
connection...* message and nothing abnormal in log FTP server.

I think the problem is in lftp because I'm using now D4X (Downloader
for
X)http://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/downloader-for-x-a-powerful-download-manager-for-ubuntu-linux/,
an old download manager (*it uses FTP protocol*) that it mirror folders with
multi-thread and it doesn't fail.
I've download with D4X the same folder that lftp failed and another BD
folder without problems.

Still I have problems downloading with PureFTPd and lftp

2011-06-02 Thread Juan Simón
PureFTPd 1.0.32
lftp 4.2.3

lftp pauses for several minutes in the middle of downloading or between
downloads:

\chunk 0-19568640
`8.m2ts' en 0 (0%) [Waiting for data connection...]

In server log there is nothing abnormal.

The rc file:

debug;
set cache:enable no;
set ftp:passive-mode yes;
#set ftp:prefer-epsv no;
set ftp:sync-mode off;
set mirror:set-permissions no;
set mirror:use-pget-n 4;

set xfer:log yes;
set color:use-color yes;
set cmd:move-background no;
set cmd:save-cwd-history no;
set cmd:save-rl-history no;

I think isn't normal so many problems to download files from a FTP server.
I don't know where the problem is but I don't get any help on this list
despite my many posts providing information and asking for help.

lftp doesn't connect in passive mode by default

set xfer:log yes;

net:timeout

2011-05-24 Thread Juan Simón
Hi,
In manpage says:

net:timeout (time interval) sets the network protocol timeout.

What is time interval? Seconds? Minutes?

Does this value relationship with this data_connection_timeout (The timeout,
in seconds, which is roughly the maximum time we permit data transfers to
stall for with no progress. If the timeout triggers, the remote client is
kicked off.) from vsftpd?

Regards.

Execute command to finish downloads

2011-05-13 Thread Juan Simón
Is there any way actually to execute a system command from lftp when all
downloads finish?
Regards.

Thanks

2011-05-03 Thread Juan Simón
Hi,
I've just seen the new version of lftp and I've seen that Alexander has
introduced some changes solicited in this mailing list.
I greatly appreciate their efforts and work. Thank you very much.

By other side, I see no way to donate money for this project in the official
website (http://lftp.yar.ru/contribute.html). Any PayPal account or similar?
Regards.

empty the transfer_log from inside

2011-04-26 Thread Juan Simón
It would be nice a command to empty the transfer_log file from lftp itself,
don't you think?
It would be the only way to empty it and to continue working.
Regards.

Re: empty the transfer_log from inside

2011-04-26 Thread Juan Simón
I've tried to empty this file manually (with an editor) while lftp is
running and this provokes that lftp doesn't write to this file until I
restart lftp.

I haven't this command.
I've installed lftp from sources and I only have lftp and lftpget.
I see the configure help and I don't see nothing about this command.
Any help?
What does this command?
Regards.

2011-04-26 Thread Juan Simón
Well, I haven't this bash command. Where is it?
Is it something like ' echo   .lftp/transfer_log ' ?
What is the difference between this command and to empty this file with an
text editor?
Why lftp doesn't refill this log file when I empty it with text editor?

Fwd: Problem with transfer_log

2011-04-25 Thread Juan Simón
Sorry by insist, but this is a annoying problem to me. Is there any way
(without restart lftp) to solve?

Asunto: Problem with transfer_log
Para: Lista LFTp lftp@uniyar.ac.ru

When lftp downloads finished, I see *transfer_log* file to delete those
downloaded files in my server. After I empty this file (*with an text editor
*) and I save it.
The problem is that if I don't restart lftp, after I empty the *transfer_log
* file, lftp doesn't saved the next downloads in this file.

info of finished jobs

2011-04-25 Thread Juan Simón
lftp 4.2.1

I've queued two jobs (with queue).
Now I've executed jobs to see the progress and it shows the actual job in
execution but it says nothing about the previous finished job. I think this
is a bug of this command.
Regards.

Kill job_no

2011-04-24 Thread Juan Simón
lftp 4.2.1

$ jobs
[0] queue (ftp://kemservi)
Ejecutando ahora: [1] mirror -c
Órdenes en cola:
 1. mirror -c folder/
 [1] mirror -c

In this real example, there are two jobs: one in execution and one in queue.
How I remove the job in queue?
And how I kill the job in execution?
Regards

Re: transfer_log question

2011-04-22 Thread Juan Simón
I'm agree. This is a serious lack of security.

 Hi all

 Can someone tell me how to NOT log user and password to transfer_log?

 I use lftp with -f script and cron.

 thanks

transfer_log

Does lftp write in transfer_log while it downloads the file or after it has

Hi,
I think lftp shouldn't save passwords in the transfer_log file, for obvious
reasons.

Can I indicate this like default option in config file?

xfer:verify yes

2011-04-14 Thread Juan Simón
I've activated the check of downloads:
set xfer:verify yes
set xfer:verify-command /usr/local/share/lftp/verify-file

But when it downloads big files, this verification takes too long to
complete.
Is there another way to make this test less rigorous but more quickly?
Regards.
