[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70625] Add --cat parameter to make git diffs pretty
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70625 --- Comment #16 from Matt K --- Using version 7.1.1.2 on Windows 10, the --cat option seems to not work from command line (nothing is printed); was this intentionally changed and intended to not be supported (even though the help still prints "--cat" as an option)? The "--convert-to txt" option works for .odt, but doesn't convert text in objects (e.g. Insert -> Shape); should objects be supported, or just simply do what --convert-to does but send output to console rather than a file? Also, "--convert-to txt" doesn't work for .ods and .odp files, and "--convert-to csv" doesn't work for .odp, but html works for all 3; should that then be used (objects are converted to images for .odt and .ods)? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Another one (see comment 9) would > require users to know that they may enter new mask - not a common knowledge. > The one from comment 2 IMO would be a bit of overkill... Do you mean add *.* to every text filter list (there are many, such as "Text documents" and "Text (StarWriter/Web)")? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141275 atem...@rogers.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||atem...@rogers.com --- Comment #1 from atem...@rogers.com --- Created attachment 170777 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=170777=edit Writer odt file that illustrates the bug and contains the Macro that generates the runtime error The attached Writer odt file contains the Macro that generates the runtime error along with a Comment and a bookmark named __Target. I've also copied the Macro in the original submission so that others could see that there is nothing special about it. I really don't see why it would generate the runtime error other than a bug in LO's BASIC. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141275] New: Macro in Writer generates runtime error when trying to move the cursor from a Comment Box
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141275 Bug ID: 141275 Summary: Macro in Writer generates runtime error when trying to move the cursor from a Comment Box Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: atem...@rogers.com Description: In a Writer odt file, I can insert a Comment (Annotation) somewhere in the text. (Doesn't matter where.) I then insert a bookmark elsewhere in the text, say named __Target. If I then place the cursor into the actual Comment box, shown at the right edge of the document page, then click on an icon that calls a Macro that I wrote that simply checks to see if the named bookmark exists, then moves the view cursor to the bookmark, I get a runtime error. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start with a new odt Writer file. 2. Write a para of text and then create a Comment at the start of the line. 3. Write another para and insert a bookmark at the start of that line. 4. Write a Macro as follows: (I'll be attaching an odt file that shows all of this.) Sub GotoBookmark() Dim ViewCursor, AllBookmarks, BookmarkAnchor As Object ' We first check to see if the desired bookmark exists AllBookmarks = ThisComponent.getBookmarks() If NOT AllBookmarks.hasByName("__Target") Then MsgBox("The bookmark __Target does not exist!") Exit Sub End If ' At this point we can try to move the ViewCursor to the bookmark ViewCursor = ThisComponent.CurrentController.getviewCursor() If isNull(ViewCursor) OR isEmpty(ViewCursor) Then MsgBox("Cursor invalid!") : Exit Sub If NOT isEmpty(ViewCursor.TextSection) Then MsgBox("Cursor in a TextSection!") If NOT isEmpty(ViewCursor.Cell) Then MsgBox("Cursor in a Cell!") If NOT isEmpty(ViewCursor.TextField) Then MsgBox("Cursor in a TextField!") BookmarkAnchor = ThisComponent.Bookmarks.getByName("__Target").Anchor ViewCursor.gotorange(BookmarkAnchor, False) End Sub 4. You'll find that you get a runtime error if you call the above Sub while the cursor is inside the Comment box, but not if it is anywhere else in the doc. Actual Results: What I got was this runtime error: BASIC runtime error. An exception occurred Type: com.sun.star.uno.RuntimException Message: no text selection. Expected Results: I expected the cursor to be moved to the named bookmark. It does get moved there so long as the cursor is anywhere else in the document. If it's in the Comment box, you get the runtime error. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.3.3.2 (x64) Build ID: a64200df03143b798afd1ec74a12ab50359878ed CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-CA (en_CA); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Hi Warren, Thanks for troubling to CC me with this. Yes, I still see the issue on LO Writer V7.1.0.3. It is particularly irritating that when a document is opened in single page mode the first page is initially paginated to occupy one screen space but then paging down moves the page upwards by about 1/3rd of a page and then further presses of *do* succeed in moving the pages down by 1 whole page worth so after the first miss-location Writer seems to remain perfectly in sync but 1/3 of a page out :-) It's definitely a bug. I am coming to the conclusion wrt open source programs like this and eg FireFox that when a program develops to the point that it is a threat to commercial interests it seems to be the case that specifically the bug-reporting and user-facing elements of the project become increasingly hostile to the description of bugs *as* bugs and very trigger happy about closing them with seemingly *any* behaviour accepted as "intended". Anyone else see this ? Certainly anyone using the hand-wringing association that FF laughingly calls "support" pages these days must feel that John Cale's live act from 1979 plays a part ;-) Boo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

No, just joking of course :-) In this situation I don't consider to be a "reactionary" is negative here so no pb. Hopefully in a community, we can have different points of view but have the same purpose (and can advance towards it! :-)). A community where 100% of people are agree on every subjects looks like a bit scary to me, and make me think about kind of sect. Hope there won't be too soon any reeducation centers to show the "true" path for people like me! :-) Even if my previous message was just plain irony to cover some anger and sadness, you can at least enjoy being in the "good"/"right" side :-) Julien -- Sent from: http://document-foundation-mail-archive.969070.n3.nabble.com/Dev-f1639786.html ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

Choosing options to number every fifth line, not to start on each page, NOT TO INCLUDE FOOTERS... And then it does insert a line number at each fifth line of the actual text, but also a separate line number in front of each fifth footer (!?). Footers should bee considered at all with these configs. And it is like a second numbering completely independent form the line numbering of the text body. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open menu Extras 2. Choose line numbering 3. in the pop-up select none of the options at the right side of dialog 4. accept and close pop-up Actual Results: footers get own line numbering independent from and in addition to the line numbering of the text body Expected Results: footers should either not be considered at all with these configurations, or be included in the line count of the text body, but surely not have their own independent numbering Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Locale: de Module: Writer OS: Windows 7 OS is 64bit: yes OpenGL: don´t know -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
