I had an idea to compare saving in the LO native .odt format to saving in the
MS .docx format and the result was quite interesting:

Correction, Linux users might be also affected if the document is opened from
smb share that is mounted to the main filesystem hierachy, so that LO does not
treat it as a remote file.
