It could be a special problem of LO, when LO creates reproducable corrupt
reports with the report-builder.
If you attach a file with one corrupt report and write down, that it is a bug

Do I understand you point of view as something like:
The Report, and with it the enclosing .odb file, is broken, so why should LibO
be able to read a broken record from an therefore broken file?
