I suggest to upgrade to LibO 4.0.2 and see if the issue is still present.

then enter the tools/autocorrect options menu and see if there's a
corresponding entry in the replacement table, then edit it.

tell us if after editing you still experience that bug.

Removes duplicate code from sc/source/ui/view/output2.cxx

Hi,

Possibly removes copy/paste code from the output2.cxx. I have refactored
duplicated code into several methods.

It's my first patch for LO Project. So any criticism is welcome :)

Regards,
Minh

Wrong-insert-in-LO4-and-no-import-at-all-SVG-File.svg

Attached SVG file could be inserted (Insert-Picture-From File) nicely in LO
3.6.2.2. In LO 4.0x it is imported just black. The result is not usable at all.

Importing said SVG file (File-Open) does not work with any LibreOffice
version. It displays just an empty Draw window after import.

I use ^X to cut the contents of a cell to transfer it to another cell, and
Calc forgets what the format in that cell was. I have to reformat the cell
 to get it back.
 [...]
This is really irritating and totally wrong.

 Please fix.

Please fix your workflow :-)

as V Stuart already clearly explained

IMHO this is absolutely a no fix, since it's basic behaviour spreadsheets in
general.

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Libreoffice stops working when I first start to type in Writer.
It seems to be a problem related to Sophos Antivirus, which also runs on my
computer. When I force quit the InterCheck(3926) proces through Apple's
Activity monitor, Libreoffice works again, and Sophos reports it'stopped
working'.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64079] New: FILESAVE [DOCX]: Loss formulas of the 2003-format (Equation Editor 3.0) when editing DOCX-file

2013-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64079

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 64079
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILESAVE [DOCX]: Loss formulas of the 2003-format
(Equation Editor 3.0) when editing DOCX-file
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: os...@yandex.ru
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Attention!
Windows's users must use LibreOffice-4.0.x built after the 28th of April.

Re-export or edit DOCX file containing formulas of the 2003-format (Equation
Editor 3.0), resulting in the loss of the formulas in LibreWriter-4.
WinWord-2007 reveals such (re-exported) formulas as images.

To repeat the error, you must:
 - open the file (attachment 72390),
 - edit any word,
 - to save the file,
 - reload this file;
 or:
 - open the file (attachment 72390),
 - save the formulas.docx file in ODT format,
 - reload the new.odt file,
 - save the new.odt file in DOCX format,
 - reload the new.docx file.

I looked into the new.docx container and saw:
 1. The format of formula’s images changed at WMF to EMF in the
new.docx\word\media\...
 2. There are no binaries formulas:
 - binary objects new.odt\Obj100;Obj101;Obj102 is not saved as OLE-objects
new.docx\word\embeddings\oleObject1.bin;oleObject2.bin;oleObject3.bin;
 - folder new.docx\word\embeddings\.., which should contain binary
objects-formulas is not in the container.

I'll third this request!

I too had Libreoffice crash issues, similar to Sam when formatting, but on
Windows XP 32-Bit. See bug 60102 and also bug 44595.

Now using LO on Windows 7 64 bit. Would love to have a 64-Bit version for
Windows.

Just pushed a fix to master - I suspect that this is a silly problem around
mis-management of display indicees inside Impress, combined with slightly
different semantics of the gtk+ backend, now changed to match that.

I'd really appreciate someone trying a snapshot-build from master as/when there
is one to verify it.

commit c53f1d1fa8714c330528c9b872b06f3271216f83
Author: Michael Meeks michael.me...@suse.com
Date: Tue Apr 30 11:19:56 2013 +0100

fdo#62815 - tolerate crazy / out-of-bound ScreenNumbers for FullScreen

Can't see any snapshots getting up-loaded at the moment which is annoying; can
anyone self-build to test ? :-) You -should- get a console warning instead of
this problem now [ I'd like that warning text though ;-].

Thanks for reporting !

When you copy and paste a frame in Writer, the cursor often jumps to the
beginning (and sometimes the end) of the document.
This does not happen every time

Tried few times and could not reproduce.

When I undo an insert, it always does.

Confirmed - it jumps to the beginning and sometimes to the end of document.

(In reply to comment #0)
When numbering (with Roman numerals in this instance) Libreoffice Writer
will keep all the numbered lines aligned with each other. But when you get
to a large number (such as viii.) there is insufficient room and the text is
tabbed across to the right and thereby throws it out of alignment with the
rest of the numbered entries. The following line (ix. in this instance) is
aligned like the rest of the numbered entries.

Confirmed with:
LO 4.0.2.2
Build ID: own W7 debug build
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

Word 2010 right-aligns the Roman numerals, so following text is always aligned
properly.

 Open an ODT document.
Insert a frame anchored with a character in the middle of a paragraph. (The
frame is to be displayed horizontally aligned with the character, for
 example in the margin.)
Turn on track changes, show changes enabled.
Delete some text in the paragraph containing the frame.
Save the file or disable show tracked changes and re-enable it.
The frame will move to the beginning if the paragraph.

Confirmed with:
LO 4.0.2.2
Build ID: own W7 debug build
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

Just disabling and re-enabling show tracked changes didn't move the frame.
Moved when file saved.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64088] New: Reuse Recent Documents code in the Start Center

2013-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64088

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 64088
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Reuse Recent Documents code in the Start Center
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: ke...@suse.cz
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

The Start Center constructs the Recent Documents menu in
BackingWindow::prepareRecentFileMenu():

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/framework/source/services/backingwindow.cxx#n283

But this is effectively duplicating code (AKA copy'n'paste) from elsewhere,
which causes that it lacks the nice 'Clear List' feature. It would be much
better to re-use the code, like in
SfxRecentFilesToolBoxControl::CreatePopupWindow():

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/sfx2/source/toolbox/tbxitem.cxx#n1761

To do this, you want to change the ActivateHdl link:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/framework/source/services/backingwindow.cxx#n970

to do the same thing as SfxRecentFilesToolBoxControl::CreatePopupWindow(), and
remove all unnecessary pieces like prepareRecentFileMenu, maRecentFiles, etc.
etc.

Should be straightforward, but in case you have problems, please ask :-)

The attached file, ClearContentsBug is an Excel file that exhibits the problem.
Cells B10 and B11 have yellow text on a red background. Clicking the button
runs a simple macro. In Excel, the macro removes the text but leaves the
formatting. In LibreOffice the formatting is removed as well.

--- Comment #4 from Gerry gerry.trep...@googlemail.com ---
Import (File-Open) works on LibreOffice 3.6.2.2 and 4.0.0.3. There are
formatting errors, though: The colour is different and the text is absolutely
missing. But no crash

Inserting (Insert-Picture-From File) works very fine under LibreOffice
3.6.2.2. Also inserting in 4.0.0.3 works fine, but there are layout issues.
This is a regression. But no crashes.

System: Ubuntu 12.10.

@Jesús,

Was looking forward to testing the outcome today, unfortunately the Windows TB
6 has gone off line again with a couple of build issues:
... unotest/bootstrapfixturebase.hxx(19) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open
include file: ´cppunit/TestAssert.h´: No such file or directory
...
[C:/cygwin/home/tinderbox/master-build/workdir/wntmsci13.pro/CxxObject/sdext/source/pdfimport/test/pdf2xml.o]
Error 2

So maybe in a few days...

Meanwhile, will you be looking to integrate into the Windows ApplicationID
hooks Caolán had left for future development in
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=e9daae2025279d04155ddeb794bb35952e627ed7
 and
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=2aee1633048bcb732a5c1917580d305afa54e5ef
during spin-up?

But guess that should be opened as its own issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63676] SVG not imported correctly into Draw

2013-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63676

--- Comment #2 from Gerry gerry.trep...@googlemail.com ---
Yes, import (File-Open) is unusable with LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 and 3.6.2.2 on
Ubuntu 12.10. It imports the poster template just as a black box.

Inserting the file (Insert-Picture-Open File) works fine in 3.6.2.2, but then
the vector data are lost, of courses. In LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 inserting does
work, but the text is wrongly imported. This is a regression.

Actually, Bug #60137 is a duplicate of this bug. It is easy to see by the bug
number which one was submitted first :)

The important thing is that it is fixed :)

If this is possible, the fix should be cherry picked into the 4.0 branch ASAP

I can reproduce the bug on 4.0.0.3 and 3.6.2.2 on Ubuntu 12.10. Pattern is
missing on export.

Importing (File-Open) the SVG file again does not work nicely. It imports as a
black box in both versions. The import is unusable.

When inserting the SVG-file in 4.0.0.3 (Insert-Picture-From File), it looks
like in the other web browsers. It actually looks better in 4.0.0.3 than in
3.6.2.2 where the background is completely missing.

There are a few window managment programs I run. TotalSpaces is one. I had
been running Deskcovery as well, but my trail period for that expired so I'm
no longer using it. I have no accessibility programs installed/running. All
of the accessibility options in system preferences are likewise disabled. I
have no special mouse programs running as I use the awesome stock trackpad on
my MacBook Air.

I think I've pretty much pinned the action I was doing that would crash writer.
I'd open an existing document. I'd highlight a good portion of the text that
I'd want to enlarge. I'd make the font larger, and as I scrolled through the
document to see how many pages the extra size had added, THAT'S when my
document would crash. I now have 4.0.3 installed. I just deleted the old user
profile.

I'll post logs if I get any more crashes. I'm hoping it just wasn't playing
