@ Jonas Yes, it was clear and all right for me, thanks. @ Werner Cross-Compiling on mac intel should work, but of course you need an Apple ARM to test. It's an idea, because I could also have old mac minis on intel just for that… Greetings, Ben

Hi Jonas, Thanks for your answer. I don't know how works macports, but it already manages to provide compiled versions for Apple ARM of lilypond (and frescobaldi). In fact, I can live with that, so I will wait. Greetings, Ben > Le 11 mars 2023 à 14:03, Jonas Hahnfeld a écrit : > > On

Yes, that was my first thought. But as long as frescobaldi can only be installed by macports, it is not so inconvenient that it is also the case for lilypond Apple ARM. I would just find it useful to indicate on the website of lilypond, that for macOS, the Apple ARM version must be installed

Hi Ben, It looks like both MacPorts and Homebrew (linked from https://lilypond.org/download.html) have LilyPond working with ARM Macs (which is what an M1 Mac would be) so if you already use either of those it should be quite easy to add LilyPond. If you haven’t used either package manager
