Hi all,
Frescobaldi 1.0.2 has been released, fixing issues that arose when using
Frescobaldi with KDE 4.4 and SIP 4.10.
Download: http://lilykde.googlecode.com/files/frescobaldi-1.0.2.tar.gz
Frescobaldi is a dedicated LilyPond editor built on the KDE4 platform.

Once I wrote on LAU list to ask for a difference between Puzzle and
Jigsaw and made a typo by writing gigsaw. After some answer I
Hi,
Lilypond uses a separate volume channel, rather than velocity, to
control MIDI dynamics. There's a perl script `ConvertToVeolcity.perl'
that can convert the midi output and add velocity info to each note.
That's a bug then. Musically \p means velocity change and not volume.
Where do
I now use the following command line setting to reject the read problem:
for %1 in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s %1
But the ugly tie playback problem is still here, so I have to again roll back
to 2.13.7.

Thanks, modified and pushed.
For the record, I wasn't expecting (or fishing for) an actual patch;
the page I was trying to point people at was:

(in particular, the small additions section)

Thanks, this works, and is exactly what I wanted to know.
Steve,
How about this:
In Thunderbird
1. Create up a new address book Lilypond
2. Add the mailing list send address e.g. lilypond-user@gnu.org to the
new address book
3. Create a new rule in Thunderbird to move to your lilypond-user folder

Cheers,
Sorry to all, I just realised, that the paragraph with the problem was
gone...
here we go:
If I use my workaround, the vertical alignment does not fit with the
'regular' fgured bass symbols, it is printed a little lower; for the current
problem it does not matter, but I suggest to add the

I'm using lilypond for my piano practice. How do I tell lilypond to only
output a range of bars to a midi file. Say I want to practice bars 5 - 10
of a score, and would like to have them on a midifile repeated a hundred
times. How would I do that?

Comment out everything from bar 11 onwards and use showLastLength =
R1*timesig*6 to only process the last six bars.

Bertalan When you see p in the score, you play with less force on the
Bertalan keys, with lower velocity. When you see ff in the score,
Bertalan you play with much force on the keys, with high velocity.
That depends on the keyboard. On the organ I've sometimes played, how

I had a quick look at what it would take to generate notes with
different velocities instead of just CC 7 events. It's harder than it
should be: dynamic events always come after the notes they affect, so
I couldn't see an obvious/easy way to get the current dynamics while
processing a note, nor

Thanks, Robin, for your reply. While your solution will force the volta
bracket to conclude with a vertical line, it leaves me with a starting
double bar. Is there a way to force LilyPond to draw a standard single bar
instead of the .| glyph?
