Hi,
I'm using rehearsal marks for each section of my piece, for example
Introduction' Section One etc. For the first bar, the mark appears above
the tempo, how can I move to the same vertical position as the rest of the
marks?
Here's an example. Introduction sits above Tempo di Valse, I want it

Hey all,
I'm working on a project to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Debussy
études by writing a series of 12 companion pieces - one per étude. My ensemble
has recorded two of them and I've put them on YouTube w/ a video that moves
through the LilyPond score in real time.

Hi all,
In the following (last note in my bass clef), I'd like the \markup to
appear *below* the \fermata, for obvious reasons. What's the best way
to accomplish this?

Thanks so much.

Sorry it was too long, I included a complete example in case there was
something else I was doing wrong.
Yes, I've read those examples, but still am at a loss how or why the tempo
is affecting the placement. If I remove the tempo the first mark is in the

Answering my own questionLooking at the multiple marks example, it uses
outside-staff-priority to set the stacking order,

so adding this
\once \override Score.RehearsalMark #'outside-staff-priority
Thanks so much, Phil. I'll try that as soon as I get home from Good

Hi List.
I'm planning similar YouTube entries, i.e., music
performances sync'd with their score-page turns.
But this will be a first for me, and I see a hefty
bunch of (Linux) softwares for video editing.
If any of you has a favorite among those options
(or among how-to docs), I'd appreciate

Hey Peter,
I use iMovie on my mac, so I can't be of much help :(
However, if you want to automate the creation of systems, you can use LilyPond
book to compile your score. It'll create eps files of each system individually.
Cheers,
MS

Hi,
The only way I've found to create dynamics for a single note is to use
