G’day Dan,
Try this (\with-dimensions being the key point):
== snip
rightOne = \relative c' {
f16 aes des ees ees,16 aes c ees
}
leftOne = \relative c' {
\tuplet 3/2 { c8 bes aes' }
\once \override TextScript.extra-offset = #'( 1 . -3 )
\acciaccatura {

I’m trying to draw a dashed line between notes in two staves. Ideally (using my
example below), the line needs to start in the middle of the left-hand staff
immediately above the first grace note and be long enough to end directly below
the E-flat of the right hand. I can only manage one or the

Dear lilypond users!
I want to align syllables of two text lines one under another without any note
staff. Below is a working snippet, which is quite good for my purpose. I would
like to gain some more control on layout:
1) make some manual line breaks,
2) add more horizontal spacing around

There is an excellent function by David Nalesnik (LSR 721) for making
slashes on the left hand side of beams. Has anybody made a variant of this
that can do the same thing on the right hand side of a beamed note set?
I suppose I can rustle up the Scheme code, but I thought this may already
