You want whitespace in your parallel squares?
Don't you think that's akin to demanding a hexadecimal file include space in
between each digit? Wouldn't it be smarter to delegate the spacing task to
programs optimized for a square environment, as hex editors are optimized for a
hexadecimal

I see. That makes sense.
Also, you can use lilybin -d remote-name.pdf

Hi Kieren,
It did work for this example, and although it required a little tweaking to
be usable on the project I'm working with, you gave me the lead I needed to

I didn't do very much polymetric music, but there is some code in the

Yes, like both texts were written above the same imaginary horizontal line,
if that makes sense? In the same way that dynamics align with each other.

Hi Jinsong,
First question: Is the arpeggio supposed to include the low g# octave?

You could try \makeClusters. They are a bit thicker than in the image,
but they might be useful. (I have no idea what they are actually meant

But this sure seems like something that could be Scheme-d, so that Liypond sets
out the music as if it were notated — and maybe even grayed out, like the
erased (?) part of your image — and then draws the noteheads as a

Hi,
I'm trying to typeset etudes with variations (alternative bowings,
articulations etc. for the same music) at the bottom. The variations should
be printed in small.
Minimal example:
music = \repeat unfold 32 { c'' d'' e'' f'' }
% Default size
\score {
\music
}
% Small staves for variations

Hi Ming,
this might be more of a Frescobaldi problem. Maybe you can try running
Lily 2.19.57 from the commandline directly (the Usage Manual explains
how to), to rule out that the problem is with Lily. If that works, I’d
suggest contacting the Frescobaldi mailing list.

You should reconsider your marketing strategy if you so want to make
that happen… ;-)
Especially you’re unlikely to make friends in the LilyPond community.
