Instead of “LilyJAZZ” for the music and brace names, try lower case
“lilyjazz”. If I remember right, it’s case sensitive since it’s looking for
the exact file name prefix.

In my recent score, again, a single vocal staff with two piano staves
below, I had instances where there were 2, 3, and 4-syllable clusters
Just guessing, but is the old PDF open in a separate viewer? Some viewers
lock the file and Lilypond won't be able to overwrite the old one until the
file is closed in the viewer.
The other possible thing I can think of is saving the input file first,

Given that the time signatures are showing up alright, I think there might
be a need to rebuild the font cache. This usually fixes any font issue.
