Is there a way of adding a front page with graphics, title etc to a
Lilypond book, with the numbering starting at 1 on the first other
book page?

It sounds like you need a converter program.Perhaps someone with more
knowledge of this can help out.

alphabetical order, but with individual tunes not split over pages,

likes. As it is, even with minimal page breaking, I end up shuffling

For example, I am produciong a book of tradition British folk tunes
from a music worksshop some years go. The tunes are traditional, and
thus out of copyright, but the chords/arrangements are copyright, and
I had to get permission from the family.

I'm putting together a book of folk tunes, and would like to reference
the versions of software used. I kown you can automatically pick up
the Lilypond version (and have done so). However, is there a similar
way of getting the JEdit and LilyPondTool versions?

Having downloaded 2.13.4 for Windows, and not having used Lilypond for
a few weks, I tried to complie a new tune. In attempting to convert to
the new version, I got this error from Lilypond Tool:

Any idea what's causing it (and how to get rid of it)?

Is it possible to enclose a note in brackets? I need to do this to
indicate a lead note played the first time but not on subsequent
repeats.

I suppose it's rather crude, but I like using \null for things like this.
So, for the footer: \markup { Engraved ... } becomes
Quadrille.ly
\include 32 Bar Jigs/Blackthorn Stick.ly
\include 32 Bar Jigs/Captain Lemos Quick March.ly
\pageBreak
but would like a line or so separation.

downloaded this, I went to the user manual Installation
section http://lily4jedit.sourceforge.net/ch02.html to check the
details. There it mentions LilyJHelp, but clickimg on the link retruns
an empty page - no download. A search in Sourceforge likewise turns up
no result. Help requested.

; checking the pdf, adding a break
as appropriate and repeatng ad nauseum. What I'd like to be able to do
is mark a tune so as to add a page break before it if the piece does
not fit on the current page.
