Hi all,
I updated the persian.ly init file with some more Persian keys, instructions
for setting up the fonts for the Mac (thank you Patrick) and some extended
examples.

Hi Kees,
I hope the developers will add the Persian accidentals in the next Lilypond
version,
even though it seems obvious that they will, I plan to post a message in
that sense (I don't know where to make this kind of request yet).

Ok, after trying both ways separately,
1: putting Pertout's 2 fonts files in MacintoshHD/Library/fonts:
it works
fine
2: When I put them in the same folder as the persian.ly
In fact it's very simple (only my lack of experience in handling fonts files

several paths, so i guess you can just put a copy of it

Just download the TrueType fonts and install them using the Font Book as
Computer (system wide) fonts. It worked on Mac OS X 10.5.x for PPC.
In recent LilyPond versions, you don't even have to install the font;
you can just put it in the same directory as
on the files:...
Now i guess something's wrong with the persian fonts, maybe the location i
put them in; but the error message doesn't make it clear for me as where I
have messed up. I see there are many pango files inLilypond's code source:
Lilypond 2.12.2/lily/pango-font-scheme.cc
Lilypond 2.12.2

I think I followed your advice, but I don't know whether the font file is

Perhaps LilyPond must have ~/Library/Fonts added to the search path.
I'll try to find this search path.

It works! Yooh!!It was just a matter of placing Pertout's 2 font files
in the right folder...
Thanks a lot Hans, Valentin for your precious help, and Kees and Benham and
