Stroked quarter note

Hello I am transcribing a music that uses a lot of quarter notes that have their beam stroked. Acccordingly with my few music knowledge, this means that the note can be splited in two notes. Any body knows how to mimic this in Lylipond? I just found it for grace notes. Thank you Alberto --
