Mario,

Thanks for the info, we're looking at this a method.
Comments of engine cycles do concern me though, we'll look into how much
and if it's worth it.
If anyone has other idea's for accessing VSAM files from Linux please add

any/all comment are very much appreciated

Hello world ...
I was running a Suse Linux Enterprise Server for S/390 version 7.
I downloaded the CD's from the Novell site wis the trial offer.

I do not see any documentation on the Novell site for installing the Linux. (It
We received the word today from BEA that only the 31-bit IBM JDK is

Not the answer we had wanted. So we will be installing the 31-bit JDK on

Thanks to Alan, David and Mark...
Our router is now working...David was right, to try the simpler
method, and all we needed turned on was IP forwarding. And Mark hit
another nail on the head when he pointed out some flawed addressing and
routing. The biggest thing was the routing on the

Did anyone get more than just the one? Most automatic reply-systems are
set up to only respond once. Did you get splattered, John?

In most cases, it is impossible for me to tell. I very aggressively
filter my email. I just checked, and it appears that this list (unlike
many others) does indeed only send a single out of office per person.
I wonder how they do that?
It's the client, not the mailing list server. The
If you can tell me how to avoid it, I'd love to do so. My company
recently opened up our out of office messages to go to external email
recipients (like this list) and I don't believe I can stop it from

Perhaps on some systems, but with Lotus Notes 7 (and 6, IIRC), OoO
notifications are able to be controlled on a pretty granular level,
especially to avoid sending them to general Internet addresses (including
lists).
Exactly why I want someone to hunt down and upgrade all the Notes version 5
Another option is to code NOT TO fields for each of your mailing list addresses
in the OUTLOOK OOO responder. Again, a pain to set up, but you only have to do
it once. I turn off all of the other rules and then run them once I return.

I'm hacking out a short whitepaper that is a generalized version of this
setup. I'll post it later this week.
