I'am looking for a DB2 query tool for zLinux.
Some shell scripts needs to query some DB2 tables.
Any tool for this?? The DB2 engine runs on z/OS.

IBM and Redhat have an agreement since 21 september 2002 that
Redhat will run on al X- I- P- and Z-series
IBM will port Lotus Notes,Websphere and Tivoli to Redhat
Maybe that helps you to make a choice.

At this moment we run Cobol applications on a GCOS 8 mainframe.
If we want to convert these applications to ZLinux on a Zxxx system we
need a Cobol compiler.
Questions:
- Which Cobol compiler do we need for ZLinux
- Which Database is the best choice with Zlinux, DB2 or Oracle
