I run it on RHES3 with Regina Rexx and it runs fine.

Yes, it would work - but if you want to emulate a more so-fist-ee-kate-ed

Although primitive, ed works just fine, and has pulled me out of quite a
few holes.
UTS Global has made Ned available. It is an editor for Linux for
zSeries (full screen, I think) that understands 3270. Check the archive
for the download location.
