I was using the most recent version. The ACF2 version is officially called
eTrust LDAP Server for OS/390 and z/OSversion 2.0
OK,,,here is my status concerning using CA-LDAP to authenticate Linux
users to z/OS.
It is not going to happen. The ldapseach and other ldap client commands
work fine with simple authentication (-x). However, it is PAM that
presents the problem with CA-LDAP.

I would say that those errors are going to prevent you from working. What
the messages mean is that rlogind is trying to use the shared library
libdigestmd5.so to dynamically load a routine, and can't find it:
des_key_sched. On top of that, it's trying to find an entire library,
