1) You do have a XWINDOW server on you telnet terminal, correct. 2) is the DISPLAY environment variable set up correctly? Note - the DISPLAY variable should have the IP address of your display station (telnet terminal), not the terminal type. something like: export DISPLAY='a.b.c.d:0' vt382
