I have a vanilla, fairly minimal, SLES11 install that was just finished
and it completed in under 60 seconds, '...WITHIN 60'.

It's the barebones install ( ala Cookbook ). After this md: stopping all md
devices., you can count to about 11-12 Mississippi's ( I don't own a
stopwatch :-) before it actually comes down whereas under SLES9/SLES10 the
count is usually 1-3 Mississippi's.

I just shut down SLES11, that part of the shutdown was about 3 or 4
seconds. Best guess, no stopwatch. Then again, measuring by either
guesses, stopwatch or mississippi's is inaccurate at best (I'm sure
Rob is having a good chuckle).
