SHARE San Jose - Session Chair Request

2017-02-10 Thread John Crossno
I'm sending out this extra request for session chair volunteers for this
week as we are getting closer to SHARE, and there was a change to the
session lineup. If you've been holding off because you weren't registered
yet, or you keep telling yourself you'll get to it "this afternoon" or
"tomorrow", well we know how the afternoons often go, and we also know that
"tomorrow" never truly comes... Today is the best time to take action.

If you've never chaired a session before, try picking one or two up that
you're going to attend anyway. Help your peers out, I'm sure they would
appreciate it.

Here's the current list of open sessions. Don't procrastinate! Jump right
in. Send me the session number and title (cut and paste is easiest) of your
choice(s) and I'll let you know that I've added you to the list for those
sessions.

Sounds like we both got into the business around the same time. My
university did have an S/360
model 65 with LCS, but the first actual hands on access to a computer was a
S/360 model 20.

Enjoy your retirement or whatever you do in the next chapter of your life.

I don't know of a way to change your E-mail address on the mailing list,
but if you go to
http://www2.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 and scroll down to
"Subscription request"
near the bottom of the page, you can subscribe with your personal E-mail
address, and after
that is active, you can unsubscribe from your work E-mail address.
