zSeries, not z/OS. In any case, IBM is distro agnostic. While our commercial distro partners on zSeries are Red Hat, SuSE and Turbolinux (in alphabetical order), we also work with many other distros. We start to run Linux under z/VM4.2. Two images has been running without any troubles for weeks. But we have very silly problem since yesterday. The 1st. image hangs sudennly. After few minutes (sometimes 1/2 hour) the Linux image continues to run. BUT the 2nd image hangs now! IT'S CRYZY.

We have 7 OS/390 processors. I was told it would cost about $10,000 to convert one processor to an Integrated Facility for Linux (IFL). Anyone know if this is close to being correct, or has anyone done this? You have seven S/390 processors, which I assume from your note are running OS/390
