I am using a Nexus-S
DVB card and I just finished compiling the latest 2.6.6 release kernel with the
dvb-kernel from CVS. It appears to work for a little while then it crashes
with the following errors:

It definitely does seem like stv0299 has the problem you describe, so at the
very least insmod.sh should be modified to load the frontends after the card
drivers.

tzap works 99.9% of the time for me, and if it fails I don't neet to
reboot the box. Does anything odd appear in your kernel

I'm having problems getting the DVB-S stv0299 demod tuning to a symbol rate
of 22000. With 27500 everything works fine, no problems with audio or video
