I don't own any Philips DVB device, but I know, that the tda10093 is
based
on/compatible with the 10086 (where Andrew just wrote the driver).
Afair,
the registers for the second DVB-S decoder have the same mapping but
the
addresses are shifted.
Thanks for the advice Patrick -
Try dvbstream from dvbtools .
Ah, I've been using dvbstream to watch live TV, but I didn't realise the
latest version has support for writing to a file. How does it cope with
files 2GB? dvbrecord doesn't like those (I have to record to stdout
and then redirect it to a file.)
dvbstream -ps
Hi,
How does it cope with files 2GB?
Fine, no problems.
But this might be an lfs issue [ http://www.suse.de/~aj/linux_lfs.html ] which
you hit.
Hmm, is there any way to convert a channel ID (or whatever it's called)
into a bunch of PIDs? For example, if dvbscan outputs something like
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting my usb stick working correctly, it works for about
a minute after a reboot and then the stream starts corrupting and eventually
no data comes anymore. (I need to reboot to get it working again)
I've turned on debugging for pretty much all modules involved and
Hi,
Is there an equivalent to this command:
# dvbtune -f 11473000 -p V -s 33300 -n 110
using just the programs available in dvb-apps?
The stream I'm tuning in to is a multicast network stream rather than an
audio/video stream, and doesn't show up in the initial results from
scan, but does
Hi everyone,
I've just moved my DVico card (cx88 based with mt352 frontend) into a
new PC, however every 30 seconds or so some data is dropped (enough to
corrupt the video and make the sound drop out for a second) and while
this happens my kernel logs are filled with these messages - does anyone
Hello Steve,
the Transponder is on NSS7 12601MHz/H/SR:3 (TCT).
Under Kernel 2.6 I can't tune the Transponder (with dvbtune), under Kernel 2.4
(linuxtv-dvb-1.0.1 package)I can tune the Transponder.
I have also a Technisat Skystar 2.6, with this card I can tune the transponder
under Kernel
You could try the latest version of DVBStreamer from the subversion
repository (http://dvbstreamer.sourceforge.net/), as it now has support for
streaming to a file ( or UDP). It also keeps track of the PIDs by monitoring
the PSI and only uses the channels.conf file for initial setup.

Hi gurus
I have used Hauppauge Nova-T card for control/VOD purposes but now I need to
take signal from remuxer, wich gives me only DVB-ASI signal.
So far I have managed to control this hauppauge card with very basic perl
and bash script, using dvbstream and else to do the work.
