Just noticed something weird when loading saa7134-alsa. From dmesg:

saa7133[0]/alsa: saa7133[0] at 0xfa02 irq 11 registered as card -1
Why -1? The module works correctly, but -1 would lead me to think it's
failing. Actually the correct device number
