most likely go FTA soon, the future of Five is unclear. I think it's
best to pick up those channels from DVB-T for now.
Do you know if the bitrate for similar channels on Freesat is higher
than it is on Freeview?

can fetch the EPG for FTA channels from any dvb-t sources? I use a
mixed FTA and dvb-t setup, and would prefer using FTA over dvb-t when
a channel is available on both, but I need the EPG data which is only
available on dvb-t.

Is the diversity feature (using two tuners to get better reception than
one) a hardware feature, or is it simply a software feature?
I assume one could get a similar software only feature by using some
clever software tricks by combining the dvb data and ecc streams?

Maybe try tuning with kaffeine, it seems to lock much easier when
searching for channels, in my setup with nova-t 500. Am still unsure
why, since it's all through the vanilla DVB driver interface in any
case.

transponders, four of them are received
without the offset they should be at.
Can anyone explain in what circumstances this usually happens? My
signal is from a wall socket in a big block, not from a free standing
antenna.

I'm having some tuning problems with a nova-t 500, just added into a
setup with a second card (an older nova-t 90002). That card tunes ok.
Kernel is 2.6.17-1.2157_FC5 with v4l addition from today.
I've tried to add options dvb_usb_dib0700 force_lna_activation=1 but it

dvb-t services, I have to manually
put different frequency information into my vdr channel.conf file. Am
assuming it has to do with missing repeater amplifiers for anything
but the standard uk television channels.
What kind of antenna would be required to receive these signals?
