This card will be working soon.
Markus Rechberger will be working on it with me this weekend
hopefully, it
will be in the early AM.
All I know is that people in Melbourne are having trouble -- I havent heard
from anybody else in AU. One of my testers has the Dual Digital 1 card, which
uses an mt352 demod -- this one is working just fine. (He has it in the same
box with the Dual Digital 4)

This indicates that you applied the patch incorrectly.
Delete the file linux/drivers/media/video/xc3028.c
make distclean
make
make install
... That should do it.

Thanks - the patch is applied and the card detected correctly now.
I'm still unable to tune so I guess it's not
Don't suppose you have a list of instructions a dumbo like myself could
follow to get my DUal 4 running

Don't know if this is any help to anyone but in does appear to try and

My other card (Winfast) gets around the 98% mark

There are three possibilities that spring to mind.
One, DViCO produced a small batch of defective hardware that just happened
to land in Melbourne. (Does it work under Windows?)
I have this card and it works under Windows. A scan picked up all channels
and they tune fine.

No, most of the DViCO Dual Digital and Dual Digital2 cards have the mt352 used
as the demodulator. In newer revisions of those cards, the mt352 was replaced
by a zl10353. Users with the zl10353-based cards
Yep works fine under windows XP in Melbourne
Kaffeine on ubuntu appears to pick signals up , but their strength is

i installed kaffeine - its able to do auto scan (and claims the card supports
it) so i set it at auto and at 0, +167 and -167 offsets. It displays a signal
