Hi all!

What do you mean by no kernel is installed? You use debootstrap for

Ok one thing is that from one hour to the next make-fai-nfsroot stopped
working.
It took me a while to find out why the clients don´t start the
installation.
The system is running on the actual woody and fai worked without
problems the day before.
Then I tested debootstrap and it had problems to
Version 0.1.15.4 of debootstrap is also not working (with this error:
E: Couldn't download libpcap0g)
This bug is fixed in 0.1.15.5, the package list had to be updated because
of changes to ppp.
Kind regards,

the new woody is using ssh2 as default.
So after the system is installed the client can´t copy the logfiles
I will fix that for the FAI version for woody. No bug report needed
for that.

No. At least it should not be.
Can somebody explain to me why bootsector is used anyhow? Is it good for
anything (lilo or setup_harddisks can't manage) I can't see right now?
So how do you clear the bootsector?
lilo -U is not working, and toggling the bootflag with fdisk is also not
working.
And I never tried it with dd.

Hm. Usually I use lilo -u or a backup of my mbr to achieve that.
What do you use for booting, floppy or bootrom? You could set things up to
work

Hm. What does id say?
From the client shell:
sh-2.05# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
But I found the problem... it was obvious. Here are the permissions
of /bin/mount in the nfsroot
-rwsr-xr-x1 fai fai 69436 Jul 27 13:50 mount
