Two new releases are available: fai 2.3.4 and fai-kernels 1.4
I hope, that they will make it into woody. Since fai 2.3.3 was only availabe for several hours here are all news. The most important news is, that fai-kernel now include a 2.2.20 and a 2.4.18 kernel, which both support the BOOTP and DHCP protocol. So you have to define which protocol to use. Append "ip=bootp" or "ip=dhcp" as a kernel parameter. New in FAI 2.3.4 - the default name for fai kernel-image package has changed to kernel-image-2.2.20_fai1_i386.deb, since the package fai-kernel >=1.4 contains install kernels which support both the BOOTP and DHCP protocol New in FAI 2.3.3 - important bug fix (wrong symlink for rcS_fai) - copy id_dsa* and id_rsa* files in make-fai-nfsroot - use strict enabled in perl scripts - add "append ip=dhcp" in pxelinux.cfg/default - minor changes in packages_config files - setup_harddisks default fs type changed from auto to ext2 fai-kernels ----------- fai-kernels (1.4) unstable; urgency=medium * remove setting of DEB_HOST_ARCH in rules file (closes: #146107) * add build-depends on bin86 * merge the two 2.2.20 kernels to one that support both BOOTP and DHCP * override obsolete 1.3 version of this package, but add 2.4 kernel support -- Gruss Thomas
