David, GPartED, from my experience is VERY safe. All you have to do is simple: do a chkdsk in Vista (or as they call it Error checking), then boot GPartED, and then do a simple resize. I would recommend creating the backup DVD of your PDA using the Lenovo tools (there should be a tool to backup
