Actually I used to have slow netscape and it was due to a slow machine I discovered that while I thought I had 128M of ram some of the sims were actually dead and swap is really slow. But are you running some kind of service on your machine? X and netscape really take up lots of system resources

Netscape on Unix is weird. You could wipe out ALL your config files and hope for the best. to do so cd .netscape rm -rf * the next time you run netscape it will ask questions. this is a last ditch solution but the only one i can think of now Work is a function of results not effort.
