beta (3? 4?) and the most recent Knoppix ?

I will bring several KNOPPIX CD's as requested (I have the latest one)
but I suggest you hold off on ML 9.0 Betas. I have installed ALL of them
and they all have had some pretty hairy bugs (all have been fixed in
Cooker as of this writing) but I'd suggest you wait till 9.0 Final
