I notice at http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=samba that samba 3.0.2a-r2 is not masked (dated 29th April) but 3.0.2a-r1 is masked (dated 21st April) After a fresh rsync emerge -s samba gives me * net-fs/samba Latest version available: 3.0.2a-r2 Latest version installed:
