I forgot, we used a pallet jack to lift the battery pack back up, I don't know
how much more it would have weighed with the batteries refilled with water.
They look to be ¾ ton or 1 ton cargo vans, only two seats, back empty. My
guess it had about a 350CU ICE and got around 12MPG

Very strange... they don't list the Nano (the $2500 model) on the
TataCarsWorldwide.com page.

the battery pack was held on with 4 bolts. it was at least 1800 pounds.
the connectors were a quick connect type with one on each side that popped
off with little effort. I could imagine it being a type of quick change
pack.
found an interesting history of Nelco. Nelco was bought by Polaron
Components. in 1997 Nelco made BRUSHLESS motor and drive system for high
velocity machining applications. Wonder if the USF Vans have this system?

The Nano will never be exported here because it is not even close to
complying with US safety regulations. Consumers in India will get a
first car or trade in their motorbikes to get this car.
