[ANNOUNCE] Apache Log4j Transformation Tools 0.1.0 released

2023-05-06 Thread Piotr P. Karwasz
The Apache Log4j 2 team is pleased to announce the Apache Log4j
Transformation Tools 0.1.0 release!

Apache Log4j Transformation Tools is a subproject of Apache Log4j that
provides binary manipulation tools for Log4j-enabled software.

In this first release you'll find:

• A Maven plugin to precompute the location of your logging
statements. This allows you to include source location in your layout
configuration with virtually no performance penalty.
• The well known `maven-shaded-log4j-transformer` by Eduard
Gizatullin (https://github.com/edwgiz/maven-shaded-log4j-transformer),
that has been donated to the Apache Software Foundation by its author.

You can find the project documentation at:
https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/log4j-transform

The binary artifacts are available in the Apache Maven repository:

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/releases/

and also on Maven Central repository (https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/)
and its mirrors.

The source distribution is available at:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/logging/log4j-transform/0.1.0/

Bug reports, patches or suggestions for improvement can be submitted
through Github Issues:
https://github.com/apache/logging-log4j-transform/issues

This release is dedicated to my wife Agnieszka for her birthday.
