we learn that Benedikt received "1 Gulden 7 Schillinge" [not
1 Gulden 6 Schillinge as some socialist musicologists wrote ;-) ]

on the 26. August 1562 , when he played for the Herzog of Mecklenburg
(Ulrich III. ?).

The Fronimo list keeps a .zip file with most of the pieces from the
1556 book in, eh, Spanish tablature - I mean inverted Italian...
The original is in German tablature.
