No again. By any means, do use hide glue, not the Liquid Hide Glue which is sold but the real thing. Titebond could do the job, but, should the joint fail again, you will never be able to reglue it without major repair work. I must respectfully disagree. I find hide glue harder to clean off a

Jon, you might wish to actually try to remove hide glue the way many others do it. It just takes a brush and hot water and a few minutes. As soon as the joint is dry, it can be reglued. For a solid joint with Titebond and the like, you need to scrape/plane/file/sand down to bare wood or the joint
