The attached png and (not quite) MWE lyx document show a subsection inheriting its numbering across a chapter boundary, rather than starting anew. This is with a recent reinstall of beta2, standard book class, with none of my preferences etc., so it shouldn't be an artifact of my tinkering.

Outliner icons

A *small* anomaly I've noticed (when reinstalling beta2 after my bleeding-edge experiments) is that when I change the icon set and click Save, the icons on the toolbars change to the new set but the icons at the bottom of the outliner window don't. I have to close LyX and restart it for the
