LaTeX is very slow on my System, if called from Lyx 1.1.6fix1.
I have done the following:
With LyX
1. Load de_UserGuide.lyx
2. Click Menu View-Postscript
3. Wait 20 min.
4. The Postscript View is correct displayed
Without Lyx
1. Load de_UserGuide.lyx
2. Menu Export LaTex
3. Run "latex
