Cursor positioning with Pointer/Keys from minipage

qbox changing width - appearance

The problem here is, that QFontInfo(font).family().latin1() returns NULL. The conversion to string afterwards leads to crash. Changing lines return QFontInfo(font).family().latin1(); to const char *x = QFontInfo(font).family().latin1(); return x?x:; gives me at least a working qt-lyx version. May this be of some help to anyone? The problem seems to be related to the use of the sans font family
which is unknown from qt. Could you try the attached patch which has
been send by Kornel Benko a while ago?
Before applying this patch, though, I would like to understand why we
have those font values now, and why they do not work. Anyone has
ideas?

have some unwanted default value, but at least you are then able to select your
own font with the lyx-UI.

It is not fromqstr() helping. It is only, that QFontInfo(font).family().latin1() returned NULL under gdb-controll, while fromqstr(QFontInfo(font).family()) did not. There was also a discussion with a patch for a similar problem about half a year ago, but I do not remember on which of the lyx-lists. I tried myself to find a working function to get what latin1() was supposed to. Looking on the qt-sources it seemed to me fromqstr() would be ok. It worked here, but I remained quiet, as nobody else had a problem with screen-fonts. I have a working kmap-file for 1.1.5, which is of little use in 1.1.6cvs
For instance the entry
\kmod : umlaut all
used for "a" gives
KeySym is colon[58] State is [1]
action first set to [-1]
meta_fake_bit is [0]
action now set to [-1]

color settings in preferences
Hi, set (and save) colors with preferences dialog. Centering after table on last position in include
Please look at the output of DVI of the attached Main.lyx.
The second chapter is centered. If there is at least
one "{}" (in TeX mode), then all is ok.
Maybe because of math in last cell?

Reproducible crash on minipage
There is a reproducible crash with cvs 1.2. Create lyx-file with two minipages with lyx-1.1.6 (see attached example). Edit this lyx-file with cvs 1.2. Now it is ok. Of course, without labels. (Editing the lyx-file

Did that and tried the 2 different approaches:
1. Setting up my .dvipsrc and including ae and aecompl generated
nice looking PDF:s with the special chars ie. a-with-two-dots replaced
with a. - No go
2. Using pslatex as document font generated PDF files with all the
local characters replaced with a space - also no go.
What now ?
Cannot send any of those versions to my customers.
Did yoy try the postcript-times-fonts? I had good results.
Use
\usepackage{times,latexsym}
in the preamble.

I vote for it. But for me it is sufficient to set it in preferences.
