Cursor positioning with Pointer/Keys from minipage

qbox changing width - appearance

If you change \lyxformat to 223, the minipage is read in correctly (also the width). I can live with this. The problem here is, that QFontInfo(font).family().latin1() returns NULL. The conversion to string afterwards leads to crash. Changing lines return QFontInfo(font).family().latin1(); to const char *x = QFontInfo(font).family().latin1(); return x?x:; gives me at least a working qt-lyx version. May this be of some help to anyone? It is not fromqstr() helping. It is only, that QFontInfo(font).family().latin1() returned NULL under gdb-controll, while fromqstr(QFontInfo(font).family()) did not. There was also a discussion with a patch for a similar problem about half a year ago, but I do not remember on which of the lyx-lists. I tried myself to find a working function to get what latin1() was supposed to. Looking on the qt-sources it seemed to me fromqstr() would be ok. It worked here, but I remained quiet, as nobody else had a problem with screen-fonts. Please look at the output of DVI of the attached Main.lyx. The second chapter is centered. If there is at least one "{}" (in TeX mode), then all is ok. Make a document (main.lyx) which includes another one (in.lyx) Last paragraph in in.lyx be centered -- The text after the include (in main.lyx or later) will be centered. On my system lyx 1.1.6-fix3 works with Ghostscript 6.51 when setting \ps_command to /usr/bin/gs in lyxrc.defaults or equivalent No help here with this configuration. It's the first argument to execlp which must end with a space (works also when setting the first string to ) Playing with execlp() didn't help me. Entering parenthesis in math-mode does not display as expected

Unicode support in Qt 2.1 is *bad*, and even 3 has some problems. I'm not sure about RTL scripts, for example. At least for Qt 2.1 and Qt for Windows, this could mean some serious working around trouble for Hebrew and Arabic. QT3 here, I am not using Hebrew or Arabic.
