IMVHO your viewer does not support refreshing. This is the reason why I
currently use Acrobat Reader than Foxit - the second one does not refresh.

The reason is that LyX copies the files to the temp dir and mangles the file
names to something unique (this seems to be necessary for several reasons).
So the files that are processed
