I have a lyx and a latex question First, is it possible to define new theorem environments in LyX? I looked through the help manuals, but could not find anything. If not possible in LyX, of course I can use latex \newtheorem. Here the question is, is it possible to make this follow the style

I assume that you want to use the formatting style of theorems in the IEEETran class, but with a different document class than that. The way to do this in LyX is through Modules. If you check in Document>Settings>Modules, there are several options that define theorem environments, and guide how

Sorry, I think I was not quite clear about what I would like to do. I'm using the IEEETran class. I would like to define a new type of theorem (a "property") that looks the same was as theorems look in the IEEETran class.

appendices and numbering

Hi everyone, I am finishing my thesis, have been using Lyx all along, so far so good. I hope someone can help me out with two issues. 1) How can I insert appendices at the end of my document? I would also like them listed in the TOC. 2) I have external PDF files embedded in the appendices.

Command + S + D = crash

While I'm on the list... I've been crashing Lyx 1.6.5 by accidentally pressing Command + S + D instead of just Command + S to save... This highlights the "View" menu then hangs until I need to force quit. (Mac OS 10.6.4) Benjamin
