Hi,
yesterday I updated Lyx to version 2.4. The error is still there.
By the way: there is a readme in the installation files. And it specifically recommends MikTex for Windows! So the error can't be in MikTex, can it?
I would have liked to show you this Readme file, but www.lyx.org is

Dear Herbert,
I suspect that our communication is not working very well. Are we talking past each other?
In your last message, you sent me my document back and showed me in a picture how you replaced my text columns with a floating object. I have already said it several times: I have

Hi Herbert,
a floating environment WITHIN a list doesn't work. I tried that at first. If it had worked, I wouldn't have had to resort to multi-column text.

Hi Chris without t :-)
I have selected my font in the settings. I don't know how else to do it. A package called texlive-full does not exist on my MikTex console. I don't know how to install this package without using manual installation. Maybe with \usepackage? That doesn't work.

Hi,
the compilation of lyx files is repeatedly interrupted (apparently at random). A window "LyX: Stop command?" appears. Then you can either stop or continue compiling. It is not clear to me when and why this interruption occurs. Its appearance cannot be controlled by me.
Please can you
Hi,
A few days ago, when compiling my 250-page KOMA script book, the page break was completely destroyed. In my opinion, this error was related to the problems that MikTeX has also been having for a few days. I was able to fix the problem (by using the command line), but compiling still

Hi dear LyX community,
I use both footnotes and endnotes in my KOMA Script book. If I don't intervene, both will be numbered the same way. Unfortunately, the reader cannot judge from its appearance alone whether it is a footnote or an endnote. I want to mark the footnotes as traditional

Hi,
I'm working on a KOMA script book. It contains over a hundred graphics. One graphic is particularly complex and I've been working on it for several weeks. I drew about 50 curves in it, all of which are made point by point according to a complicated scheme:

Hi,
I'm working on a book (KOMA-Script). Three years ago, a similar LYX document worked without any problems.
But now the index is no longer displayed to me.
Based on advice from the community (Jürgen) at the time, I chose texindy as the index generator.
So far I have entered the
