Hi All!
Sorry to be a bit offtopic. (This is not meant to start a new WYSIWYM
vs. WYSIWYG debate)
Has anybody ever tried TeXmacs? (www.texmacs.org)
seems to be the attempt to bring Latex to WYSIWYG, though it doesn't
really work for me ;-(. it's incredibly slow, because it tries to display
the LyX tabulars, specially when
the cell has math. But AFAIK the tabular code is new and should improve
in time.
hehe, it's good to hear I'm not alone...

strange behaviour found ;-)
when processing a file with loads of latex in it and some error in it
(couldn't verify which ones do it, forgotten braces, eg), lyx doesn't
seem to get the errormessage back (or doesn't handle it right), but
simply updates dvi or ps with the last version
Hi All!
I attempted to build my own RPM by compiling from lyx-1.1.6-1.src.rpm.
The srpm is from ftp.sylvan.com. My system is a RedHat 7.0 with all available
bugfixes.
I have following (error) message:
.. -I../../boost -isystem /usr/X11R6/include -O2 -march=i386 -mcpu=i686 -c
formula.C

well, answering myself..
compiling lyx-1.1.6 works... (at least without -fno-rtti and using the
system's string classes)
ppc-rpm is on ftp.sylvan.com

Hi All!
Don't know whether this is lyx-related..., but is a rather strange
behaviour and might be of interest.
since this year (stress on THIS) the documents I wrote last year (or the
ones I start now) seem to
get corrupted during export to pdf (no matter, whether ps2pdf or pdflatex
is used).
