Hi list,
I was trying to make a checklist and wanted to use a square as tic box.
I'm using LyX 1.6.4 as of 2009-08-22 on a Lenovo T61 with gentoo linux.
The following steps produce an error:
1. Open new document
2. Insert Special character Symbols Geometrix shapes
3. Choose the first symbol

An alternative that I use is to use \Box in math mode.
That way font problems are avoided.
