to the new features of LyX 1.3.0 (especially the Qt frontend) and also
fixes some significant bugs in the

to do it, I'll have a go, but last time I got bogged down in
dependencies, got fed up, and made myself a simple tar.gz binary
instead. Don't trust me on this one!
