1/ I'll add the pdflatex converter, it is indeed easy enough.
2/ for the rest I do not have time now to investigate. Are there
messages in the console from which you started LyX?

I'm on Mac OS X, so I didn't start LyX from a console.

Perhaps I should try to, though!
Or you just open the console from Applications/Utilities.

Right. So I've run LyX from the command line, and when I attempt to
Build Program, I get: sh: listerrors: command not found. So I tried
copying listerrors from the scripts directory to
